This season marks a very special anniversary for the Hornets. We’re celebrating our 75th anniversary.
The new committee is currently looking at a range of celebrations to mark this major milestone so look out for more details throughout the season.
To kick start the celebrations we are holding a season opening event.
Date: Saturday 7th September
Time: 12.30 onwards for the main event (but the Clubhouse will be open from 9am for hot and cold drinks, hot food, a look our 75th anniversary merchandise, to meet your new committee and have team photos if you can’t make an afternoon slot)
The fun stuff:
- From 12.30 onwards there will be a BBQ and the clubhouse bar will be open for lager, cider, and IPA on tap, soft drinks, hot drinks, snacks and sweets
- Team photos – a photographer will be available to take team photos and can include your sponsors.
- Check out our 75th anniversary tops (any orders placed on the day will be free delivery)
- Meet your new committee
- Men’s Team game on T1 kicking off at 3pm v BNJS
- Pitches T3 and T4 will be available for informal kick abouts
- Ireland v England UEFA Nations League Game on TV from 5pm
- Clubhouse open til 8ish
We’re also planning an enhanced and extended presentation day in May
Then the 7th Balsall Beerfest takes place on 28th June
Commemorative T-shirts are available via our Club Shop.
